DD, 12 y/o is sick. Think it's the same cold her Dad has. It really knocks you on your butt for about 2 days. She seems to be feeling better tonight and is starting to be bored. I will have to start her homeschool lessons back up tomorrow.
17 y/o DD is out in her boyfriend's truck--I told them he couldn't come inside tonight because of Chelsey being sick. Then tomorrow is Tuesday, and he's not supposed to come over on Tuesday, Thursday, or Sundays. Am I being unfair since Amber doesn't go to public school and therefore doesn't get to see him there? At any rate I've had 3 and might get 4 days of no "house guest" praise the Lord! I very much needed it as my anemia is rearing its ugly head and I'm feeling quite tired.
Despite the anemia I have still managed to keep the house reasonably clean and have done several loads of laundry (washed, dried, and put away) by working for about 15-30 minutes then resting for 15-30 minutes throughout the day.
I also managed to work on my Flylady Control journal for a while. I seem to keep letting my Sheness creep in and keep tweaking it to get it just right. I know I have to stop that or I'll never get it done, but it is so difficult for me to just throw something down on a generic piece of paper, although right now I am using a plain clip board with a pink legal pad clipped to it, and a purple gel pin. I just write in the day's priorities and put a check box by them so I can have the satisfaction of checking items off of the list. Maybe I should just give up and order the flylady control journal.
I have already done my bedtime routine, and thanks to not having to do school today we don't need to pick up before bed, so all I have left to do is take my amitriptyline (for chronic nerve pain) and go to bed. I already feel like I could lie down and go to sleep no problem, but I really shouldn't because a) it's Monday and that means Amber's boyfriend will be here until 10 pm, and b) DH is not home yet--he's up staining the window sills at the new house.
One of the stray cats that Chelsey feeds showed up today, very beat up. He looks like he may have been in an animal trap for a few days. His foot looks very broken, and he's skinnier than ever. Chelsey wanted me to take it to the vet, but we don't have the $$ right now, so I will find a no kill animal shelter and take him there if we can catch him this week.
We should be moving into our new home this weekend. We got our occupancy permit a week ago, and almost everything is done except the grouting of the back splashes, the final clean up, touch up painting, and staining the last of the trim. We get the dish installed tomorrow afternoon sometime, I'll have to go up there and wait for the installer who'll be there between 1 and 5--I don't mind at all though, I can do some touch up paint or stain the trim or something while I'm there.
Hello and welcome to my blog space. My blogs will be an eclectic mix of whatever I decide to write about. Thanks for stopping by.
